If you are passing than good if are not than get to the right. If people would understand this than maybe we could have no speed limit.

It the 18 wheelers that take 10 miles to pass that jam up traffic . If they stayed In the right lane things would be easier.

And when they crash, it shuts down the interstate for 4-5 hours.

Where 75 and 95 are 6 lanes in Florida they restrict them to the right two lanes and it works pretty well.

Im going 76 in a 70 in the left lane and i got a fukin 18 wheeler on my arse. I just stayed in the left lane going 76 and you can tell he wants to go at least 80-82. I get in right lane after i finish passing everyone and he flies by me. These 18 wheelers are the fukin problem people.

I get why they do it because if they are in the right lane it would impede off / on ramp traffic.

This is the issue. If 18 wheelers were restricted to the far right lane in Baton Rouge, every on-ramp in the city would be a complete shite show (worse than it is now). The Acadian on-ramp would basically turn into a shortcut to College Dr...

Texans

Baton Rouge is 180 miles from Texas on I10 and half of the left lane crawlers have Texas plates.

I drive I-12 everyday and I don't this to be a issue at all. What is a issue is assholes driving exclusively in the left lane.

In general, big rigs, mini vans, and Prius are the reason why highways slow down.

I’ve never seen a Prius doing less than 90.

You mentally challenged 4 wheelers can’t drive for shite. Cutting in front of us and hitting the brakes...merging onto the hwy at 45 mph like we’re suppose to slow down for you...switching lane to lane acting like you’re frickin nascar drivers.

Truckers aren’t the frickin problem

I’m pretty sure there is state law against this. But I don’t feel like looking up the statute at the moment.

Yes, yes you are. You shitfricks take 10 miles doing 65 to pass a truck doing 64, all the while holding up a line of traffic a mile long. You sir can stay your arse in the right lane

wanted to make a thread today about this because it seems like on a three lane highway, big rigs are going 65 in the middle lane cause backups due to slow fricks trying to get around them taking their sweet arse time.

Obviously you aren’t aware that on a three lane highway the left is for passing, the middle is for traffic continuing on, and the right is for exiting traffic.

So if he’s in the middle lane he’s actually right where he needs to be.

You can't just have fricked up right lanes... In Louisiana you have to make sure all lanes are fricked up

Do like Germany, heavy trucks are restricted to 55MPH on the autobahn, all drivers are restricted to the right lane except when passing, so the trucks have very little need to leave the right lane. Traffic laws on the autobahn are strictly enforced using speed cameras and other methods and penalties are stiff, tailgating while waiting trying to pass another car is around $400 bucks.

Exactly, and with few exceptions, multi-axle trucks cannot operate on the autobahns on Sundays or holidays.

The enforced monitoring weeds out the unprofessional drivers. This works. The trucks get to their destinations on time and everyone else can drive the normal 90-110mph.

If you got someone in the left lane on your arse than get over to the right once you overtake the other vehicles. When he passes you and everyone else than he needs to get over. Speed is not the issue.

So are you mad at slow drivers or fast drivers?

And yeah, all you people should be going the speed limit in the right lane, so there shouldn't ever be a need for you to pass another semi. It inconveniences me.
