I’m realizing more and more how much people on here just talk completely out of their asses with no concern for truth or accuracy.

Personal Injury attorneys, they make up the legislature and the guvnah periodically changes from RINO to Democrat

Why is this such a huge mystery to people? Like there's some conspiracy to keep Louisiana from growing?
Our general populace has one of the lowest intelligence levels in the country. We elect people based on nepotism if we even vote at all. Do you think that leads to a prosperous economy and a high quality of life?

Louisiana has similar demographics as many of its Southern neighbors and every state has corrupt politicians, so it’s not that.

I always laugh when I hear this. Do me a favor, tell me the differences between the careers in Mississippi or Alabama compared to Louisiana. Both of those states are growing and have EVEN LESS diversity when it comes to career options.

Most of the state's wealth, industry, and educational institutions is concentrated South Louisiana but blame them I guess?

Three of our largest cities are crime-ridden shite holes whose only real positive traits are public drinking and fried food

There is no industry here besides chemical plants.
And whose fault is that? Oh yeah, it's politicians and their constituency viewing every company as a cow to be milked that causes companies to flee to Texas.

Alabama has a shite ton more industry than Mississippi or Louisiana. Louisiana and Mississippi are pretty close, there’s little to no industry in either state.
I said the same thing last week and some of you called me an idiot. A couple of chemical plants can’t support an entire state economy. You need a mix of blue collar and white collar across multiple sectors to create a thriving economy. Neither state has close to that. There’s virtually no white collar jobs, and the blue collar jobs are siloed into a narrow sector which is extremely volatile based on economic conditions

The state just published an economic plan that indicated that 40% of the outmigrants have a degree and/or a graduate degree, which is disproportionate to the general population. They are leaving because they don’t see the type of jobs and salaries they are seeking in Louisiana. The current talent pipeline fuels Houston, Dallas, Nashville and Atlanta.

Louisiana has a double-whammy with population:
1) No one wants to move here
2) Most people who live here and can move do

Exactly. No politician can save it. You can have the best coach in the world but if the players are not talented then you wont be successful.

I left in 2014 and I'll never go back.
Go get a taste of somewhere else and you'll understand.
"But the food!" only goes so far.

Pretty obvious that there are a lot of lucrative jobs in areas like Huntsville that largely don't exist in Louisiana.

So, then tell me what jobs they have that we dont? It's a simple question.
