Why does Burger King call themselves BK in their commercials?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone call them BK in real life. It sounds pretty dumb.

Well they did this because they wanted to get rid of the word “Fried” in their logo and marketing - Fried food = Unhealthy
As for BK - I would actually kind of like it IF it meant all of their stores were remodeled and cleaned and IF their customer service was on par with Chick Fil-a

I never understood the dislike for BK
Whopper is a legit decent fast food burger. I will admit the rest of their food isn’t great but the burgers are solid.
BK here is always quick and food is hot when I get it which is more than I can say about our Wendy’s, Hardee’s and McDonald’s
