One time, I was on the golf course playing with my regular group when a young mother with a toddler and baby in a stroller walked in front of the tee box as we were about to tee off. A course marshal saw what was happening and rushed over to our tee box to inform the mother that she should not be on the golf course. Her reply was she walked the course on the cart path all the time. She was totally oblivious to the danger to herself and her children. My group and the marshal looked at each other in disbelief.

I have seen grown men get hit with golf balls on the course and drop them like a sack of potatoes. I can't imagine the damage it would do to her or her children.

Okay. Start off jack slapping the shite out of this one. Make sure your buddy has the camera rolling so the rest of us get to see him back down

I’ll at least wait till you’re done making out with him.

Actually there is, it’s called trespassing, genius.

Sounds like OP was paying to be at this place. Unless they asked him to leave, then no, he's not trespassing.

There was a much better way the golfer could have handled this:

"Good morning! You know you might be safer if you took a left and walked about a quarter mile that way. Some of us golfers here don't always have the best aim."

It's courteous, and there's a little humility in there instead of hostility.

You don't have to be Johnny Carson to come up with little niceties like this, but you do have to be moderately more gregarious than an insufferable, low-functioning autist.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people on the golf course who can't even clear that low bar. That's what this thread is about, not whatever horse shite was going through your head when you slapped on your little Johnny Law badge.

Nobody wants to hurt someone with golf ball

Plus pace of play - waiting for you wander around made everyone wait

I learned a long time ago, every arse hole I’ve ever met was an avid golfer, but every golfer is not an arse hole.

How do you accidentally make a wrong turn walking onto a giant golf course and cannot easily double back to where you came?

Absolutely no law against that, champ.

Yeah, of course there isn’t a law against walking a golf course. It’s just a dick move if your within driving distance, champ. Try to keep up

Multiple three putts per round. Score the same regardless of how well you hit the ball. etc.

get off the course you're going to get hit by a ball.

But like I said, I don’t deny that I was wrong for being on the course at that time
well didn't you start the thread saying

'I'm a retarded a-hole for taking my family on a stroll on a golf course while golfers were playing'

I must be playing some nice courses then, cause I’ve yet to encounter the types of trashy people you guys are referencing.

Y’all on muni courses?

A.Liability issue. If you or your family get hit by a stray ball then you'd sue. Therefore they have to tell you to leave or at least warn you for a safety standpoint.
B. If it's a private club then you shouldn't be on the grounds at all. Even a public course you shouldn't be there unless you've paid to golf. It's a golf course. Not a hiking trail.
C. I was an assistant golf course superintendent for 20 years. Nothing worse than people wandering onto the course going for a walk or kids riding their bikes on the course.

Get your dumbass off the golf course while people are playing. Do the right thing and you won't need to be told what to do

Obviously you have never seen and have never considered the damage a golf ball can do to the human body.

Most golfers are married to a Karen and are just as willing as she is to request an audience with your manager.
