Correct I’m not some oblivious moron who cut through a golf course. My family and I were walking on a trail that we though would lead us back to our condo but took a turn behind a tee box and lead onto a golf course. Y’all golf baws making comments in here are fitting the stereotype I described perfectly.

It’s simple, it’s the country club “you don’t belong” attitude.

He made an error. He didn't say he and his kids were running around taking dumps on the tee box.

Distraction? Give me a break. If you need to concentrate that hard to hit a damn ball off a tee then why can baseball crowds cheer when a batter is trying to hit a 95 mph fast ball? I take the Happy Gilmore approach to golf if you can’t tell.

Does the batter have to contend with The Beverly Hillbillies wandering all over the infield as well?

Have you seen the football players tackling people that run onto their field?

I am aware of this sort of "etiquette" so I avoid golf other than hitting practice balls.

My personal opinion is that general etiquette trumps "golf etiquette" in situations like this where they conflict with each other, but that view is not shared by people who consider themselves golfers. So I avoid the sport, and I am far from alone in that.

They probably weren't pissy, you just got mad that you got called out for being where you shouldn't be.

The management company that rented you the condo should have you read and taken a course in golf etiquette before staying on site. You stumble onto a golf course with your family and act offended when someone tells you that you are in the wrong place. Go be a victim somewhere else.

“Golf etiquette” sounds so gay. Not to mention it’s contradictory because etiquette requires treating another person with respect, not coming across as a jackass.

You and your family were in the wrong. But instead of apologizing for being in the way and leaving, the golfer made you look like a bitch in front of your kids.

In all honesty, it sounds like you are the pissy one.
