This is obviously a special day for the Muslim community but will other religions be provided a special day as well?

Muslims offered a SPECIAL Day!!

How are the women to stay covered if they're swimming in the water?

They can't go into the water not because their religion forbids it but rather all of their makeup would run. Nothing wrong with wearing makeup but they wear an inordinate amount of it every day.

Most non-denom churches already have a waterpark installed in the sanctuary to do their baptisms

It could just be a marketing blunder. While I do not agree with the rules, the Muslims may be renting it for a private event. That would make it legal.

If the Muslims are paying a rental fee, for a private event, then I have no issues. If the city is willingly doing it at no charge, then let the lawsuits fly. That would actually be against constitutional based laws.

Sounds like this type of day would be the bomb for them.

I heard the Griswold's had planned their vacation for that day and will be denied entry. What should they do?

That Daily Mail article reads like something you would see in the Bee or the Onion. It sounds fake.

Before I comment further, I would like to know if this is a private event, who is paying for it, have there been similar private events in the past, and, if so, where they religion-related.

Ultimately, it comes down to the citizens of Grand Prairie. They own it. It is neither a Texas nor Federal issue (at this point).

Unripe. Ask for an all Christian day or try to go on Muslim day. If you are prevented, then let it rip.

That is why I said I'd like to know if they've ever held any events in the past that were specific to one religion or church group.

BTW, if anyone wants to contact them to express their opinion of this event:
