Growing up in youth group we would have days at water parks, putt putt, laser tag, etc. with just us Christians all the time…

Unfortunate price of progress.
When others were happy with all the new business and investments coming, some of us were more worried about the residual crap that follows. This is it.

But was the US taxpayer footing the bill?

Of course not- for better or for worse, Christians are inclusive.

Same parallel with hanging Ten Commandments in public school classrooms. Presume you are consistent and good with Quran principles hanging there?
Muslims revere Moses and the Ten Commandments are referenced in the Quran.

Taxpayer funded by the state of Texas, which is not liberal, last time I checked.
Unbunch them panties, slick. Not sure why "conservative" Texans funded a waterpark, though.

I think the theory behind these various identity politics catering days is that it causes Hispanics or blacks or whatever group is being catered to to be more likely to attend the park year round, even if it may lower revenue on that specific day due to nobody outside the identity group going to the park that day.
However, I don’t think that’s a particularly good business decision when it comes to Muslims. Muslims aren’t going to be willing to go to the park on anything except for the designated Muslim day, because the park won’t be modest enough on the other days. So I don’t really see how the park thinks it’ll raise their year round revenue.
You can be damn sure that Muslim men and teen boys are going on random days so they can leer at white teen girls and MILFs in bikinis.
They don't bring their wives and daughters on those outings.

Didn't we purposely mass import Chinese immigrants not even 100 years after the country was established? 15k of them. A very early example of wealthy businesses importing cheap labor. You think the founders had no idea that could happen? Really?
Many of the founding fathers were slave owners, including Washington and Jefferson.
Surely, they understood what the ultimate outcome of importing non-white, non-Christian people would be.

It isn't a state issue. It is a local issue (Grand Prairie).

Not by the state. By the city of Grand Prairie.

Our country was not founded with the thinking that muslims or really any other non-judeo/christian religions would be mass imported. I would think that not applying the 1st amendment to the states both gave the states the freedom to push some religion and push some away to help keep any religion that was fundamentally incompatible with our constitution and ideals. Even Jefferson came to see muslims as a problem.

You basically negated your own question about our founders with the 100 years after the country was established. What are founders agreed to was no federal limits on immigration before 1808. Even then they allowed the fed to tax each imported person. Anything after was to be regulated and controlled by federal law. Hence the ability to pass the “Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882” also passed almost a hundred years after founding.
Regardless of the that at the time the first amendment didn’t apply to the states giving them the ability to regulate any religion imported in that was dangerous to ideals of the constitution which I also included but you left out (added back in bold above).

Considering it was just our church there, yeah it actually was.
Most likely this is just some Muslim group that is renting the water park for the day. I guess I don’t see it any differently than when the church I grew up in would rent out these spaces for a day every summer.
One quick example of a watermark that offers church group rates in Texas and advertises as such

i would very much like to hear what denomination you grew up in that reserved putt-putt courses and waterparks and then demanded that only Christians be allowed to attend.
virtually the entire reason Christian churches do events like this is to evangelize the local community.

Well now you’re moving the goal posts. It was never demanded only Christians attend. Of course no church would do that. But it absolutely 100% was advertised as First Baptist (fill in the blank) Church day at the place, so if you were attending you were attending through registering with our church. So presumptively if you were there you were either Christian, Christian curious, or your mom just needed free or cheap day care for the day
If the Muslim day is truly “Muslim Only” and they are renting the space out, then they can do that since they are the ones renting the space. I don’t know why Christians would want to be at a Muslim waterpark day anyways.
Christian churches would never do that though because as you said, evangelicalism is important to most Christian churches. I don’t think it’s important for Muslims or at least not as pushed of a thing. Idk, I’m not Muslim obviously.

i'm not moving the goalposts. the thread is about a "muslim only" event, and you chimed in, seemingly in support of the event, with how your church had the same kind of events with "just us Christians". those were your words, not mine.
now you are saying that these events were for Christians or Christian curious or just anyone whose mom wanted them to go which is entirely different than "Christians only" and entirely different than the event being discussed in this thread
