Delta's terminal in JFK is also very nice, as is the international terminal at ATL.

They are building a whole new terminal.
They can't add another runway, which is what they really need. That's my least favorite airport to connect through especially at rush hour. Way too much traffic.

Its built vertically. The gates are built on top of each other and then you ride an escalator to the plane.

The best US airports I’ve experienced:
(Roughly 30-40 major airports)
Detroit
Charlotte
Atlanta
Worst
LaGuardia
Ohare
Miami
Best in Europe (roughly 15-20 major airports)
Munich
Amsterdam
Heathrow
Worst
Milan
Paris
Rome
The airports that surprised me with their quality were Athens, Greece and Seattle.
While not in the US or Europe, Auckland and Sydney are pretty well set up. frick the Asian airports. If you have to bring your own toilet paper, then you are truly in a shithole.
FWIW, MSY, while it has issues, is really quite convenient.

Dfw is my home airport. It is just fine. The skytrain puts you 15 minutes from anywhere to anywhere and the max gates you walk is 10 except for the finger sticking off terminal b for the puddle jumpers.
Now that dart finally goes there that is a plus.
It has room for 5 more terminals right in a row heading south from the 5 that are there. The skytrain is already laid out for the next one.

My biggest complaint about the Airports, especially the Atlanta one, is the people. When we fly out of the Caribbean into Atlanta, its amazing how shitty the attitudes are of the Atlanta workers compared to Dominican, Mexico or any other destination
