Because they know the chances of them coming back to fight the ticket is slim to none.

Cops are the clean up crew . Call them after a crime is committed

This is a rhetorical question, right?

Louisiana doesn't have freeways. California has freeways. Louisiana has interstates.

Shreveport to Ruston along I-20 is ridiculous. They’ll be set up every 15-20 miles. You’re right though. The second I cross into TX or AR you rarely see them. Add it to all the other problems with this state.

I took a week long trip out to Utah earlier this year, drove 100s of miles between SLC, Moab, Torrey, etc, and I can probably count on 1 hand how many LEO vehicles I saw. Same thing in Washington state a few years back. Wild how many police Southeastern states have.

I regularly travel I-10 from Lafayette to Nola, I-12 too, and rarely see cops. I like to drive fast too, but the reality is most people are breaking the law are driving way over the speed limit. If you can really be honest with an open mind, breaking the law is breaking the law. It's logical but emotionally upsetting to most people about driving the speed limit or 10 mph above.
I am required by job to drive within those parameters.

seldom see any police officers setting up speed traps and running radar anywhere in Mississippi.
Really? I feel like they’re all over MS when I drive through there. At least on I-10.

The 2 unmarked State boys that sit on I-12 westbound between Denham and BR can explain it better than me.
Those aren’t state boys - those are Sid’s boys, complete with the latest in ALPR tech all over the push bumper.
Anecdotal only: I drive that stretch twice a day every week…those guys work bankers hours, Monday through Thursday, ignore all kinds of traffic violations going on, and I ain’t never seen em pull over a white person.
They are doing one thing: civil asset forfeiture.

Interstate 10 is a-crawlin' with the law
Them Louisiana state troopers, they never sleep
They got a nasty disposition and they target the freaks

They know that after 120 mph you get better gas mileage so they try and make sure and stop that
Posted on 10/5/25 at 2:26 pm to LsuNav
I don’t see many. For all I care they can put LEO every five miles on every stretch of interstate or hwy everywhere in this state. Dumb fricks don’t know how to drive in this state.

There are cops running radar on I-10 outside Port Allen at 9:30 at night now. It's 100% a money grab

Money. The only tickets I have ever had were all in Louisiana. All were dropped to non moving violations at the courthouse day of. Such bs
