because they only get 13 mpg on a good day driving down hill with the wind at your back lol

GM and Ford trucks typically have $8-12k in rebates. Toyota rebates are dealership specific

I have a Tundra and agree with this. I like my Tundra but if someone else doesn't that's fine too. It works for what I use it for, and when/if the time comes that it doesn't, I'll just get something else. No big deal, it's just a truck.

That's my story. Got a 2003 model with 165,000 miles on it. Runs like a Timex.

It's not good, but it's not as bad as everyone says. I pull mid to high 17s on the highway.

Have a 2012 and I average 16. I'll probably stick with Toyota for the 3rd time in a row when the time comes to replace this one. I used to like ford's but they just have too much problems and are too focused on gas mileage. If I was to switch from the Tundra id take a look at the Sierra/Z71.

I had a 2011 Ram 5.7 before this one, and the Ram did a little better on the highway and the Tundra does a little better in town. It's kind of a wash for me. Ram was a quad cab, and Tundra is a Crewmax if that matters much.
I just test drove everything and picked one. The fullsize trucks are all really nice right now. You can't really go wrong.
eta: Just don't buy a damn Nissan.

GM's options prices are insane.

In my experience it did not hold up to the test on my farm.
I had a Tundra 4x4 and it did not last a year before I had transmission problems and suspension problems. It maybe a good drive you back and forth to work and play truck. In my experience is horriable as a true heavy duty farm truck. I went back to a Ford 4x4 and haven't had the issues I had with Toyota.
I have been buying Ford's since 1995 and putting 175k to 250k on my Farm trucks. I really haven't had a lot of issues. My present truck 2015 F150 3.5 V6 I have 162,000 miles on it and has never seen the shop except for
Oil changes, transmission oil change, radiator flush, air filter, and changed the spark plugs.

More BS. You're not buying a $60k King Ranch for $45k, let alone less than that
25%, I didn't say 25K. Glasses, you need them.

This guy claims he got a screaming deal on an extended cab truck. There's no way anyone is giving 25% off anything.
You jut have to work the deal. When I was looking, here is what I saw. I drove a Toyota SR5, the MSRP was about $44K and the best I was able to talk them down to was $41K.
The F150 that I ultimately bought had a sticker of $53,761 and I paid $37,500. I've said this in other threads.
Domestic trucks are keeping their manufacturers afloat. They sell a lot of them, for a huge profit. People are happing getting 5-10K off MSRP and if they are, that is fine. It's all about negotiation. When they make more money from you, I can get a better deal.
The F150 did have a few more features than the Tundra, but I would never buy a truck just for a few feature differences. It's a truck. I also felt that the F150 with the 5.0 was a pretty solid truck that can be reliable if taken care of.

I am cheap and go through trucks every 2 years for farm work. I like to buy from a dealer that says you want they ucky, ugly, and a base price 4x4 that is a fleet vehicle a company did not buy.
Yes, indeed that my truck there!
This one I bought in 2015 has gray color, Michelin tires, nicer rims, light factory tint, sync, cloth seat, and chrome package. I was surprised that a equipment company would buy company trucks that nice.
I paid less than a 4x2 STX with the same engine, rear end, and transmission.
Once you hit 100,000 miles you have no real book value in the truck anymore. If I kept my trucks for more than 2 yrs I might spend more money.

Ahhh... of course LUNCHBOX is here trashing the Tundra, like always.
Disliking the Tundra is like hating ribeye steak, or America, or blowjobs.
And yet here he is.

Yep. Good deals can be had if you are willing to shop around, and walk if need be.

If you're going to try to be a condescending a-hole, I'd suggesting upping your reading and math skills. $60k-$45k=$15k. $15k=/=$25k, but it most certainly does equal 25% of the MSRP. You aren't buying a new King Ranch at 25%, or $15k, off MSRP. And you're not getting 25% off any trim level.

Calling it a great truck while pointing out its few flaws is trashing it?

It's strange because I like all those things. ETA: Including the Tundra.

Post your purchase order. I don't believe this for a second. The only way this may have happened is if you bought a leftover 2014 at the end of 2015 when 2016s were hitting the lot.
You either got the single best deal that I've ever seen, and I've been on the F150 forums for over 6 years, or you're full of it. And since you could only get $3k off a Tundra, my money is on the latter.
