Still only very minor changes on the Tundra for 2018. I can see sales stall badly next yr.

As for as tech, I dont need all the fancy gizmos in a truck. Just a back up camera and a oush button start is enough. Dont need GPS either.

Supposedly coming to the Tundra in 2019, along with a redesign. I'm looking forward to those details coming out.

I think their sales are terrible bc people realized that their 30 oz tumblers wont fit in the cup holders without tilting...that has to be it!

In my Tundra, my RTIC 30 fits loosely, but my Yeti 30 fits like a glove.

Serious Question. Do Tundras (or any toyota product really) have automatic headlights?

Limited and up Tundras do. You can install the Limited switch and sensor into the SR5 fairly easily.

I don't know how Ford does it with lower trims, but I'm pretty sure Chevy's have had auto headlights standard for the last 20 years.

I think it should be standard in every car period. I can't tell you how many dumb asses I see driving around at night with their DRLs on only or nothing on at all. One of my pet peeves on the road.

My 2012 Ford Platinum was my first. I had an '04 GMC Z71 loaded that was in the mid 30s. The loaded Ford 4x4 was in the low 50s.

Really? I just bought a tundra and that's about the only thing that annoys me is that it doesn't have auto lights. Do you have a link you can refer me to?

Holy shite is this thread germane. I went into my local dealership on Tuesday of this week to look at the new Tundras and trade my old one that I bought there.

In 1.5 hours, they could not put me inside of a 2017 Tundra. "Can't find the keys" "That one has a recall bumper so we can't let you in" blah blah blah.

Well, give me a value on my trade and I figure if I want to order one please. 45 minutes later, they could not give me a value but, "we will call you this afternoon".

I pay cash for all of my vehicles, get them serviced at the dealership, and have never banged the owner's wife, daughter, or sidepiece. 2,3,1

Never heard a peep. I ended up with a Silverado High Country, purchased Thursday, and the Chevy guys are still calling to make sure I am happy with it.

I can't wait to read the rest of the replies above.

FWIW went I bought my FX4 back in 2014 the sticker was 54k and I paid 43,295 for it. Roughly 20% off.

Shh. Don't talk about getting a good deal.

I will say this. The salesman we worked with to buy our last two Toyota's were great, but standing around listening, I can tell that many of them think they are doing you a favor by selling you a vehicle.

There was a Tundra stoppage at the beginning of February. It was something to do with the bumpers and Toyota didn't ship anymore out and stopped selling them at the dealerships. I received my 2017 Tundra Platinum yesterday. I'm really impressed with the newest model as far as luxury and technology. It feels bigger than my 2012 Ford Platinum 4x4 with Ecoboost that I traded in. There's no comparison with acceleration of the Ecoboost - it walks circles around the Tundra. I did get 17.1 MPG on the drive back from Bossier to WM yesterday though. I was expecting around 14.

His deal is completely believable. Yours isn't. Still waiting for that purchase agreement.

I agree.

You asked about deals and mention the $60K MSRP for $45 and say no way. Here's one example. One with a $60K MSRP listed for $49 online every day. You don't think I could walk in there and say $45 and drive it home? If they are advertising at $49 that just means there is a lot of profit left on the deal.

LINK

I actually didn't buy from this dealership, but did shop there and got my best deal from them and went to another dealership and got another $2K off deal. It does take some effort.

With domestics, there is a lot of room to negotiate.

I've never had a push button start vehicle (so maybe I'm missing out), but I'm not really sure what the advantage is. Is it that much easier than turning a key?

No. you're not getting it at $45k. They advertise low price and make money on volume.

Post your purchase agreement.

You have keyless entry and never have to take your keys out your pocket to open the car and drive. It's awesome and should be on every vehicle in 2017.
