Why are some baws so offended over dusting crawfish?

The argument is “If they’re done right, you shouldn’t have to dust them.” *eye roll*
It’s not about that. It’s like asking for salt on the rim of a margarita. Same concept. I’m an unashamed duster. Downvote away.

I did it back in 1973. We did it a few times that Crawfish season but.
It really was unnecessary.

Salt on a margarita is offered as optional. Salt, Tajin, or no salt.
I don’t like the dusting personally because it gets all over my hands and lips and ruins the overall effect of the boil. Just my $.02.

Because we take cooking seriously in South Louisiana. And dusting crawfish is a clear sign of not knowing how to cook crawfish properly. More of a look down on than being offended.

I’ve had great crawfish dusted and undusted. I’ve had bad just the same.
I’ve learned not to complain about someone else’s crawfish. Lot’s of good ways to do it

Being from Lafayette, I've always been accused of doing this eventhough I've only known like 4 people who did this my entire time down there. It still better than putting tomatoes in your gumbo.

Preference. Subjectiveness. We are not exact clones. We like and dislike different stuff. It’s really not that hard of a concept to grasp. I like it on my fingers. Some don’t. And that’s ok.

Like I said is for people who don’t know how to boil crawfish so they do that shite and try to cover it up.
