The Pandemic has many on edge, the media's doom and gloom narratives, the hate/negativity on Twitter and social media, take your pick.

Correct. Most people watch news for affirmation, not information.

A good portion of this is the medias fault, they have created the 24 hour news cycle where they have to keep reporting on something to keep their audience watching. How do they keep people watching? By reporting on the "horrible things" happening and why its this persons fault. So we have this negative feedback loop we have created that has sucked a large portion of our society into.

The George Floyd video that has been leaked might be one of the best examples of media lies and how they shape the narrative I have ever seen. The leftwing media picked up on it and painted it as a black guy getting killed in cold blood by a white cop who had an ax to grind. They shaped this narrative and fed it to the masses for months and yet we are now seeing that (yet again) the truth is much different from what we have been shown. But the media already has their narrative shaped and will do everything they can to keep it that way. Make no mistake the media, left wing and right wing, are full of narcissistic liars and are the common enemy of all Americans.

I don't know, but the other day I had to call out a family member who posts on facebook several times every day some kind of right wing re-post that suggests I should be angry at and fearful of democrats and liberals. I just had to ask her to reconsider daily posts encouraging people to hate each other.

And then there's the PoliBoard, where they are making lists of liberals to kill when the shooting starts.

As for the right wing and left wing street agitators, those are really small numbers compared to the agitators on social media.

So to the point, Why? Hell I don't know and it doesn't make sense to me either.

Most people are angry at nonsense, because they don't have any real problems to worry about.

Edit to add: ...and Social Media.

Heard a good analogy the other day,

People have road rage and freak out about little things while driving bc subconsciously they’re on edge bc their minds are thinking about the potential risks involved with every second of driving.

Currently everyone is so angry bc of the constant fear being peddled to us about the virus, race riots, lack of police etc. subconsciously everyone is anxious as frick because they feel some level of danger always present.

I went a few weeks without reading any news about the virus and lockdowns and whatnot. As soon as I popped open the news to catch up the other day, I immediately felt like shite.

They’re not getting laid, are out of a job, are heavily in debt, and are facing imminent eviction from their homes while all of their hobbies and coping mechanisms have been made illegal by the government. Why should they not be angry?

To be fair. 95% of the screaming is being done by one side and most are under 30 so basically just spoiled children that can't function in the real world.
