Worked mine up on TurboTax earlier and it looks like I owe $1800 this year, about $1100 more than I owed last year.

Should I wait to see if Trump is going to do away with Federal income taxes or what?

Anyone else waiting to file to see what happens?

I met with our accountant this past weekend and I owe a little over $30K.

My accountant will file on April 15th and not a second sooner.

I always file at the deadline because I always owe and I want use of this money as long as possible. I’m looking at cutting my biggest check ever.

You're aware that you will still owe last years taxes, right?

Is it even possible that it would be a possibility for this year?

We shouldn't owe anything. Those crooked pieces of shite in DC owe us a lot of money back.

Latest is an unaccounted for $3.7 TRILLION. I can't believe people aren't more pissed about this.

The wife and I do a lot of 1099 work. We always owe, but we set it up with quarterly payments so our end of the year check is pretty small. We send our check in as close to midnight on 4/15 as humanly possible.

I owe this year because I failed to realize the child tax credit drops $1,500 when the child turns 17. So instead of being just about spot on, I owe $1,000. I’m waiting not for any changes, but because I’m so pissed about what DOGE is finding that I’ll send my money in at the last possible moment.

Owe alot due to mandatory draw down of an inherited IRA. If I had my choice I would not withdraw from this IRA until I retire. 35K in taxes just from the withdrawal. Plenty more in taxes from interest and dividends on other accounts. Basically my total taxes paid for property and federal income tax and SSI /Medicare would provide a decent living for a single person. Taxation is theft.

I hate to tell you this, but that’s probably never going to happen. Even if it does, it’s not happening before April 15th of this year.

Some of you need to look into that "additional withholding" box.

Yes.

You should absolutely wait until EOB April 15 to see if President Trump can eliminate the Federal Income Tax.

In fact, you shouldn’t even waste time right now gathering up the information.

Probably 1099 or self employed. No withholding

frick all that. I can use that money all year long to earn interest or investment income and just write a check once a year. I'm not interested in giving the government an interest free loan all year.
