Getting my shite switched over from parents (State Farm) and the difference from each company is absurd

Almost 24, never been in accident
Bodily 100k/300k
Property 100k
Uninsured Motorist Bodily 100k/300k
Uninsured Motorist Property 25k/$250 deductible

Geico $60/mo
StateFarm $182/mo
Allstate $230

My aunt is our SF agent and she kicks arse, but that's a massive jump up from Geico. Does Geico crank up the rates down the road or something? Is their service dogshit? Insurance is such a frickin racket smh

Tell me who y'all use

I don't have the exact premium but it's around 1300 for 6 months. I'm with Geico in New Orleans. 40 years old and wife 250/500/250 bi and um 500 comp and collision.

Geico was about 25% lower than Progressive and State Farm.

I've had GEICO for a decade with nothing but great service & no crazy rate jumps (except for after a minor accident).

That difference is extreme. It sounds like something isn't right with the quote.

I was with state Farm for the longest. Switched to prudential after learning state Farm is high as giraffe pussy compared to other companies.

2 vehicles cost around 2400 a year for 100/300/100.

We are with Geico. Been with 'em for many years. Much cheaper. They are also quick and thorough with their claim processing also. Can't say a bad thing about 'em.

Within the past two months I shopped around for auto and homeowners and they were still (by far) the cheapest.

My experience with insurance is that they are all incredibly shitty. As long as you are covered if your car is totaled, you will be fine. You get screwed with almost all small claims. So always go with the cheapest and then shop around once a year.

Geico gets a bad rap and lumped in with the shitty insurance companies like the general and go auto because they are so cheap...but the reality is they have their shite together and are excellent.

FYI...Geico stands for Government Employee Insurance Company

Something seems too good to be true about that Geico rate...especially for a 24 year old.

And you didn't mention anything about comprehensive or collision coverage. You doing liability only or did you forget to put it in your post? Better look over those quotes closely and make sure agent didn't mess up and leave comp/coll out.

ETA: Nvmd, I see you have UMPD $25K on there....that tells me there you don't have collision coverage because you can't get both UMPD and Collision

Remember this with insurance.... you pay for what you get. If your cost are that low on the front end you will get to an avg cost of everyone eventually.

You are 24 man, still considered a young driver. You kids are expensive

Take this as constructive criticism. Don't you expect loyalty from your good customers at the shop? I know y'all aren't the cheapest all the time. Don't they come to you b/c they know you will take care of their shite? Wouldn't you be pissed if they shopped you every chance they get? Always looking for the cheapest route?

How would you feel if your aunt or good clients decided to start buying from shooters, jims, bass pro etc b/c they are cheaper?

Have a little loyalty man, you are about to turn 25. It will get better. But, if you want to talk to some jack leg that could give 2 rats asses about you when you really need them feel free to change.

I'm not a State Farm guy and definitely not your aunt!

It doesn't pass the smell test, $120 a month would be one thing but 1/3 the price makes no sense at all.

Just to give you guys in LA hell I pay $800/ 6 months in Florida for 3 vehicles given two of my vehicles are liability only.
