A few years ahead of me, but David Duke and Rhonda Shear went to my high school. Didn’t rebuild after Katrina, most likely because the well off folks living near by wanted it gone. If you were there with me, or after, then you know the reason. Can someone name the high school?

Kaylee Hartung didn’t go to my HS but lived down the street.

Blane Salamoni was a couple of years behind me, didn’t know him, my brother’s year though.

The GOAT years of athletics at Woodlawn.

Those guys were pretty good but...... Not so Fast. let's talk athletics in general. You won't touch the first two, 1995 and 1990 Woodlawn alumni respectively.

Chad Durbin

Danielle Scott-Arruda

And the guy you've never heard of but could have been the next Prefontaine(he kinda looked like him), John Ruth. 3 Time state champ in AAAA Cross Country. Know why he didn't have a 4th? He didn't run his freshman year b/c he didn't know what Cross Country was.

Unfortunately, he partied way too hard for college while the letters from every elite track and cross country college were piling up at his parents house in my neighborhood. RIP April 95, Buddy.

And the 92 Basketball team was the greatest team Almond ever had.
Hell we walked out of school for him in 91 when the AD tried to fire him for not letting Basketball players play football too.
AND IT WORKED.

Woodlawn Basketball 25 yrs later. The Advocate

2 siblings are well known, with one being a household name known in Louisiana...so being most famous in my home schooling would be quite the accomplishment.

But sadly I wasn't. Just a normal small town public school bro

Nobody in highschool, but I went to private elementary school with Ali Landry. Her younger sister Gena was in my class.
