Ross hit the primary reasons. Would also have to be sure the vent valves were designed for all the cycling and maintaining cryos (LH2) would lead to a lot of LN2/SN2 formation.

Is the storage tank more protected than the rocket tank?

One engine isn't chilling correctly so looks like a launch scrub.

Another embarrassment for this bloated government boondoggle.

I was watching a video. The lunar orbit they are entering has a 14 day orbit. Is that just for this mission?

Why such a high orbit?
Also to enter that orbit they have to go within 60km of the surface.

I guess I was expecting them to follow Apollo more.

Will all the missions be this long?

God forbid we find an issue with a brand new piece of technology and put a hold on the mission until we find out whats wrong.

This was going to work out perfectly with my schedule today…not so much now although my disappointment pales in comparison to those involved.
Admittedly I’ve become spoiled watching SpaceX launches go off pretty consistently as advertised.

40:00 - Hydrogen Engineeers asking for 10 minutes at that point before briefing launch director. So looks like we will know in 11 minutes what the plan is.

Jonno - If their is a bleed on Engine 3 of the LH2...would this be related to hardware of the engine or is this related to the pressure of the LH2? Curious how they are thinking about troubleshooting it

Also, we are now officially in the window with exactly 2 hours to go. How long realistically needs to remain AFTER/IF they are able to remedy this situation for a launch?

No the boondoggle would be launching without testing all systems and watching the resulting fireball.

People who talk about NASA waste really have no clue all the tech that came from NASA or was created to support NASA.

The engines are old shuttle engines. Probably already been to space a few times.

Dude the engines on SLS are 40 year old technology. SLS is basically the Saturn V rocket with 50 years of bloated cost plus contracts on top of it.
