Get a wife. I can’t wait to see that $53 electric bill.

What kind of fruit turns on the heat unless there are children in the house.
Fruiti bois.

And the answer to both: people who aren't poor enough to worry about saving money by not being completely comfortable in their own homes.

We haven’t. Our house is super insulated hasn't gone below 67. Kind of want to open windows so I can justify using the fireplace.

Had a new system installed in the spring and turned it on a couple nights ago for the first time to run it and burn off all the machine oil from the manufacturing process and it did smell up the house a bit.
My wife doesn't like the cold but we keep it set to 64 at night and around 66 during the day and it has cycled a few times.
Personally, I could do without it much longer than the wife.

This is light jacket weather. It is awesome. Camped out with the kids last night and weather was amazing. And no mosquitoes

I haven't ... it was 61 in the house on Friday morning but it still hasn't been turned on. I think we need to re-evaluate the insulation -- some of you at 68 inside is making me jealous.

Mines off. Slept with a window partially open to get that fresh cold air into my bedroom. Thick comforter, blanket, spread and sheet. Just my head sticking out.
Same here, love sleeping in winter weather.

If you are married the heater has been on since the first cool front

My air conditioner is running. Otherwise, it'll get up to 80 in this bitch. The people upstairs apparently turn their heaters to 90 the instant it's 70 degrees outside. I open the windows up, too, because there's free AC out there and who doesn't like cool fresh air? It has to get down to the low 30s for the temperature in the house to be maintained by the open windows and the AC will stop running.
I'm gonna get a box fan for that window to pull more air in.

Love those $30 electric bills
Do you live in a shoe box? I love it when my electricity bill is down to 150ish. The worst are around 350.

My A/C was running two days ago during the cool snap. Runs year round.
When sleeping the house needs to be cold.

Never use the heater in Louisiana

I have mine set to 58 at night and it might cut on twice, at like 5:00 am. You’re talking about sleeping like a baby when your house is 60.
