Through some sort of misguided masochistic hubris I try to delay turning on the heat for as long as possible.

Left the house today and it was 58° inside.

Anyone else play this idiotic game?

Mine hasn’t turned on yet but my thermostat automatically switches from A/C to heat based on threshold values. My magic #’s are 64-69. It hasn’t gotten below 65 yet.

Made it through all of last winter with only turning it on twice ... haven’t turned it on yet.

Love those $30 electric bills.

Mines off. Slept with a window partially open to get that fresh cold air into my bedroom. Thick comforter, blanket, spread and sheet. Just my head sticking out. It’s cold in here

Me. I keep it at 69 in summer. In winter it needs to be in the 50’s before i crank mine up. Where i work its always at 65 so i’m acclimated to it.

You people have electric heat?

Sounds foreign to me. I’ve only ever had gas heat.

1. I’m out numbered by women in my house
2. I’m in my mid forties now, I like to be comfortable
3. My wife pays the electric bill

Yeah, in the past I'd leave the heater off or set on like 60. But with a 1yr old, I have it on 68.

I haven’t yet.

Well-insulated house interior temperature was at 68°F this morning.

I live in central Mississippi and it’s been low 30’s here the last couple of nights. I still have a wood burning fireplace. Built a fire yesterday and again this morning. Cold morning, warm fire, and a hot cup of coffee is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

Have only turned on fireplace. Natural gas must be cheap AF because I run my fireplace a ton in winter and my bill only goes up by like $5 compared to summer
