Upstairs set at 73 and temp stuck on 75. Downstairs set at and holding at 73. Units not shutting off all day. Causing a/c anxiety.

My AC is keeping up surprisingly well and even cuts off during the day. 75 during the day and 73 at night

I’m not chasing it. As it falls behind, I bump it up. Fans rolling to help it feel decent. 78 right now holding strong. Work to do during the winter to help the old girl out. Taking no chances we have a mild summer next year. That’s not a lie I can tell myself and sleep at night.

are claims of your house temp the new way to subtle brag these days?

I just let it win. I’m chilling outside under the porch fans looking at all the grass I cut this morning.

The AC unit is sized to your house using 95 degree as the max, at least in SC it is, so anytime it gets higher than that your unit is to small for the load. If you're getting a 25 degree drop then that's pretty good.

It really is. It’s like people are using the lowest temp as a dick measuring contest. I’m 6’2 190lbs and I feel comfortable at 75-76degF while awake. I don’t want the house at 69. Sounds terrible

Since this heat wave is not just a one day occurrence I would bump upstairs up to 76 and downstairs to 74 or whatever temps allow them to cycle on and off every so often. You will probably be able to lower them again once it’s dark.

That littler SOB is running like a hound chasing a deer. Also have a window unit in the bedroom too. Actually went to the big box today and bought a back up window unit, just in case.

Spray the roof with water and keep a sprinkler on the south and SW facing walls. Turn off all light and shut the shades.

DSLD homes are looking mighty fricking fine this Summer. Our cookie cutter piece of shite house by OT standards is incredibly energy efficient.
$127 'lectric bill last month.
AC cools to 72° in 100° with no issues nor tree cover.

I have a 500btu window unit running in my living room in the summer, and the house AC can keep up and even cycles off during the days.

It has been over 100 here in Dallas everyday but 2 for almost a month straight. Usually feels like temp 113

That weather sucks. You guys get unbearable heat but then can still get shitty cold winter weather.

Also I hate the cowboys and Mike McCarthy is fat. The mid 90s scarred me.

Well next week is gonna be unbearable for most… we need a serious front to somehow push this high pressure out of here… but the good news is that as long as that strong high pressure is around.no tropical weather will get through.
