What?
How's that not a racist comment?

It is.

Some of these people are just so blinded by hatred and their naive crusade to save the planet that they don't even recognize what they claim to be fighting against.

Said by a black woman, no less. Ironically, it's probably the most racist thing I've read in a while.

It's insanity

And lost in all of this is that technically, a burrito isn't even fricking Mexican food

Title is misleading as usual. How were they "forced to close"?

Exactly, it never mentions who or what "forced them to close".

The coolest most popular dude in my graduating class now owns a string of comic book stores in Chicago. I'm going to make him close down because he is appropriating nerd culture for his own gain.

He doesn't appreciate the art. Hell he doesn't even know what comic Captain Carrot's first appearance was in.

When there isn't any real problems and people get bored, they'll invent problems like how awful it is that the white solan is selling burritos in a food truck.

That's pretty much the epitome of first world problems.

I would be interested to know if the SJW backlash drove them to shut down or if their white guilt was triggered enough that they shut it down because it was "the right thing to do".

These same idiots would likely drive Mexican burrito makers out of business for being stereotypical.
or call them "authentic" and eat them every day

I don't know. Those pictures of the burritos looked pretty bad.

Are Mexicans not allowed to cook Asian food? Because when I use to visit San Antonio, this was the regular at Golden Wok.

I live in SA. Wok Inn (completely serious about the name) on Culebra Rd. definitely ain't 100% Hispanic employees

Two white women have been forced to close their pop-up burrito shop after they were accused of cultural appropriation.

I wish they didnt close. Someone needs to be an example and stand up to these brain washed loony toons.

Wish the taco truck stayed open and said F You to the people telling them they stole hard working women's recipes.

Their lack of logical reasoning baffles me.

Burritos aren't even really authentic Mexican are they? I thought they were considered Tex-Mex originating in Northern Mexico and Southwest US.

I would be curious to know more details.

If I take the article at face value, then I'd assume that their social media accounts got hit with a wave of SJW crusader complaints, and they just figured it wasn't worth the trouble.

However, if their food truck really was popular, I would've hoped they'd have hung on, because surely their fans would have come to their defense and the whole thing would've died down eventually, as soon as the SJWs found a new cause.

Does this mean that the blacks can't wear pants or shirts? Cause that's Whitey's invention.

This is the stupidest fricking shite. How does that bitch know they have no passion? Has anyone ever been to a Mexican restaurant (at least in the Baton Rouge area) and actually seen Mexicans working there? Well, there might be a few instances, but its common to go to one and not see a Mexican.

I've been to an Italian restaurant and from what I was able to see.. Everyone working in the kitchen was Mexican. I've seen "cajun" food places outside of Louisiana. At the Bellagio in Las Vegas, they serve boiled crawfish. I hope they didn't come down to Louisiana to see how "we" boil them.

When someone opens up a business, its always a good idea to talk with others in that business already, go visit places similar to what you want to open... You might even get a few idea... If those ideas are applied to what you are doing.. Is that person not passionate?

it was only a few months open, and I imagine running a food truck is a pretty tough business to be in relative to the amount of money you make. They probably enjoyed the work at first but figured it wasn't worth the trouble after this - especially if idiots started showing up at the business and causing trouble.

And this white privilege bullshite. So if they were Asia, black, etc and did this it would be okay? Everyone has the opportunity to do what these two ladies have done. How is that white privilege?

What about musical artist? Most people are inspired by other artist and they incorporate some of their sound into their music. Is Lynyrd Skynyrd lazy and not passionate because some old black man named Curtis Loew use to sit outside and drink while playing the blues inspired him to want to play music?

Those 2 ladies were not cut out for the business world. Things are going to happen and, as owners, you job is to navigate the obstacles and press on. This sends a message that another victory has been won against white people.

It is my understanding that they were selling breakfast burritos, which is purely an American creation. I would have doubled down on the operation and crushed the crybabies of Portland.
