My wife claims I have white privilege yet we live in the same neighborhood with brown neighbors on both sides of us, eat the same kind of food, listen to the same music.
Aside from the difference being that I come to TigerDroppings and she doesn't , I've yet to know what she means.

Is TigerDroppings the white privilege that we all don't know about? Inquiring minds want to know...

I grew up with 3 sisters and a widowed mother in a 2br apartment

We didn’t even own a car

Getting told I have “white privilege” absolutely infuriates me

It’s like black people think every white person in American is in the 1%

I consider anyone who post their politics and such as dumb. Left or right. I tend to unfollow those types. Just show me pics of your dog and shut up.

I feel you on this. I watched my single mother break down in tears until 12 or 1 in the morning due our struggles then woke up at 6 to catch the bus to school. And I made a choice to do well in school and do good for myself. I have yet to find my privilege. Paid for everything including college on my own.

The base of it is some of our families had more time to generate wealth.

My problem is that its 2020. People, including black people, have been able to accumulate wealth over the last 60 years. Some people lost it fricking all and clawed their way back. And not only darker skinned people are poor.
