What were your experiences like there? And which countries in Europe?

In Cheyenne it’s the rarity of Black people I guess... was there for a little over a month working... the stares... White waitresses would go get the Manager or Bartenders to take our orders at restaurants...sheets at the hotel were left at the door instead of put on the bed like everyone else... towels we used were thrown in garbage... bunch of other petty shite... White boys I worked (all from the Deep South) were pissed off probably more than me .,. My Bossman lost his shite on a supervisor from another trade over some said behind my back...

Ville Platte. Very few live in town nowadays.

Moss Bluff. I’m pretty sure it was open at one point that they still supported the KKK.

Are any towns in Louisiana as bad as Vidor, TX? Is Vidor still the same as it was in the 90’s?

Massachusetts is the most racist state by far.
I never quite understood how the super white New England area is also so left-wing.

Michigan Upper Peninsula makes south Louisiana look like Wakanda. Dem boys straight up Ayran brotherhood. I have never seen so many shaved heads on white dudes in my life.

My answer for any of these questions will always be Ville Platte.

Strangely (as opposed to popular belief) the south is the least racist place you'll ever see. Chicago is racist as all hell, and Europe... Well, let's not even open that can of worms.
When I was a 4-year-old from east Kentucky visiting my grandmother in western Kentucky I met the first black person I had ever seen. He was about my age and we had a wonderful time running around and playing in the park at Reelfoot Lake in northwest Tennessee. Our parents exchanged numbers and he and I were able to meet up and have one hell of a fun day the next day.
My parents are of extreme southern heritage and very conservative, but never in my life did they raise me to be racist. Such thoughts and actions would have meant that they would cast me out to the curb.
As I have grown into and old, tired, ugly, and funny smelling old man, I have come to the realization that the south ain't as racist as folks will tell you. I'll even go so far as to say that Mississippi is the most lied about state in the union.
Your original post about which town in Louisiana is the most racist is a bullshite trolling attempt, and I'm calling you out on it, because here in the true and deep south, we get along because we all realize that we need each other and love each other. (That is, we all love each other except for you - until you get your mind in the right place and quit trying to divide us.)

The neck areas have it the worst.
That’s total BS & you know it! There are plenty of places in South La that are racist as hell.
I remember in the early 2000’s when I passed through the town of Washington on way to Friends hunting camp....on north side of town there was a Civil War reenactment (all white)& on the south side there was a Zydeco festival (all black). This isn’t racist but just shows division.

I have to call you out on this. Our group hosted the re-enactment. We were asked to do so by the Black Mayor and Council. They wanted to promote the history of Washington. We set up living history displays attended by all races. We marched in the town parade at the request of the Mayor. The battle site was chosen not because it was across the road, but because it featured a large bluff that our cannons could be placed upon while some of our participants representing Union soldiers could assault the position. The bandstand was across the road. Did you attend or did you assume the worst?

New Orleans.
NOLA has avoided the racial riots that have happened in other cities.
Racial tension is that really an issue here. Crime, lack of opportunities, and an idiotic mayor are the bigger issues.
