Long-time family friends were very close to him. When “Doublecross” came out on video, we had a get together and watched it, pausing it at points so they could explain what really happened or minute details.

Walked into American History class with this girl balling her eyes out. Ask what the hell was her problem and was told that Barry Seal was killed. I asked again why she was balling like that. She informed me that she baby sat for his kids.

The book you need to read is Barry and the Boys, there is a picture in the book with Barry Seal, Lee Oswald and several known CIA agents from a Mexico City restaurant that is taken a few months before the Kennedy assassination.Barry was an incredible pilot. It’s probably true.

My mom supposedly went to middle school with Barry Seal’s brother at Bernard Terrace in BR. She met Barry a few times and said their Dad was a candy peddler. Later, when all the shite about Barry started hitting the press, she said it didn’t surprise her in the least. She got that “shady” vibe from Barry.

No, had nothing to do with any of that. I guess that was poorly worded on my part. Just meant when his life went the direction it did with the cartel etc

I believe the house back there was owned by a BR architect, Cappizola (sp?). He flew his planes out of there. Not sure if it had a previous life.
There is another strip off Summerfield in Port Vincent that I had always heard stories of him having an association with.
