Which of you baws knew Barry Seal?

Watching Narcos and it looks like a BR baw was a major drug runner for the Cartel. Anybody here know him? Says he was gunned down by the cartel IN Baton Rouge. Where was that? Was that scary to think the cartel could conduct violence in the USA?

He worked for the government not the cartels. The government is the actual cartel supplying drugs and guns.
