There is actually a better movie about Barry Seal. It is called Doublecrossed with Dennis hopper playing Barry Seal.
Doublecrossed on the YouTubes

My personal opinion, it keeps the mystery of the book up.
In this day and age any publisher worth a damn will print a .50 book if it could bring .60. Unless whoever owns the rights doesn't want it printed.
Think I paid $50 or so for my copy.

No offense but sounds like the opposite. Drug dealers hire the absolute best CPA’s.
The IRS seized every asset Seal had and auctioned them off for back taxes due. The bank that held the note on one oh his aircraft brought in two pilots to repo it, they flew it out and hid it in Florida before the IRS got it. They did want to fight the IRS for ownership.

Why would he have a note on an airplane? Cover?

Watch the movie American Made. Probably Tom Cruise’s best movie which ain’t saying much.
He was also played by an actor in Blow.

American Made is a shite movie, with a lot of historically inaccurate, made up Hollywood bullshite.
Doublecrossed with Dennis Hopper is infinitely better

Tom Cruise is a mediocre actor, so that must be an okay movie.

I believe the house back there was owned by a BR architect, Cappizola (sp?). He flew his planes out of there. Not sure if it had a previous life
Cappazoli. It’s still marked on FAA charts as Cappazoli airstrip.
Barry Seal lived in the Oakbrook neighborhood in Baton Rouge.

There’s also multiple documentaries on Netflix that go into much greater detail and connect him to the Clintons

It’s a very cool house. Mid century modern and an airstrip, pretty much my dream home. But it got a lot of water in 2016.

My friends live next door to the air strip on HST... they bought the property from another one of our friends parents... years ago we would see planes take off and land from time to time
We use to smoke and walk down the airstrip late at night... it's a beautiful property
