I just love seeing models of these that are driven by people that bought them used with 100K+ plus miles on them and think they're special. Add spinners.

Acura
- Lexus
These are probably the highest quality.

Nothing’s cooler, IMO, than absolutely stock old German cars. Takes a good bit of time and money to keep them performing and looking the part. A 20 year old car, if kept dead stock, can still be something very desirable if the initial quality was high enough. I’d drive this:

I drive one of those vehicles and I'm not uppity or trying to send any message. The Germans make a far superior vehicle imo and I have the money to afford it, so why not? It was barely more expensive than the Tahoe I had previously, but a vastly better vehicle overall.

I have never thought of a vehicle as "uppity".
And I know Acura is consider luxury, I have never considered it luxury.
BMW & Jaguar shouldn't be luxury.

Interiors and technology are a ton better. Toyota’s interiors are reliable. Lexus interiors are higher grade. Tech is a lot better.
I thought the Lexus interior was terrible when we test drove a gx460. Dated technology and that horrible front grill were the two reasons my wife passed

Gonna have to expand on that. Do you mean they shouldn't be considered a luxury or due to their sporty DNA they should not be built as luxury cars?

Acura is very conservative with introducing new models and features. That's not a bad thing nor is it necessarily a non-luxury thing.

I don’t think of any of those as uppity. I think of Aston Martin, Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, etc. as uppity.
I have an Audi A7 that I drive and my wife has a GMC Yukon Denali. We trade some days if I have a lunch or dinner with 2-3 people from a client planned. I drive the Audi when I business travel to cities within 4-5 hours of my home. It gets 36 mpg. I get a nice car allowance that covers the car note and then some. I don’t look at that car as a status symbol. I always drove trucks before I took the job I currently have and wanted to get a nicer daily driver for once in my life and have always leaned to a German car if the day arrived where the car was appropriate for my needs. BTW, I love the Audi but haven’t owned any of the others so I can’t offer a comparison.

BMW makes a damn nice car, which is why I'm a repeat buyer. All it takes is a test drive and you'll feel the quality of the ride, likely dismissing the idea that all BMW owners prefer them because they're "uppity".
Have owned MB and Audi, as well. Nice rides but not impressive enough to want to keep returning to them for future vehicles.

The only really uppity brands there are BMW and Mercedes. Infiniti and Land Rover are leverage-driven ripoffs- you buy into something fancy, but it's not going to last and the banks / insurers know that.
We've owned 2 Infiniti's and have never had a problem with either. Will likely buy again.

It’s not the brand but is instead the douche/douchette driving that’s the issue, baw.

Isn't Jaguar owned by and Indian company now?
I just have a hard time classifying anything coming from India as "luxury". I know they probably aren't being manufactured in India, but I do know the reputation of Jaguar had been steadily declining before and fell off a cliff after the Indian company bought them.
