This is the most over used and over rated statement by people from Louisiana. There are lots of places in the US with unique and great foods, especially good restaurant scenes. One of my big complaints about living in Louisiana was actually the lack of diversity in food choices. I understand the desire to be near family, but would someone really choose to deal with all the negatives just because of a type of food?
