Where is a good place to retire to?

For me, it needs to be a place without:
hurricanes
earthquakes
drought
endless rain
months of subfreezing temps
ridiculously priced real estate
masks
fear of being shot
Anyone says Arkansas, I'll puke.

Arkansas is a very underrated state for chilaxin'.

Oklahoma?
Most of that shite doesn’t exist there but I recommend a good storm cellar.

East TN or West NC.

Western North Carolina. Western Virginia. Utah. Idaho. The right areas of Oregon.
If there’s a certain trend, it’s unintentional.

We plan to retire on Toledo Bend, provided it doesn’t change.

Other areas of Oregon may be great, but no way I would put my future on the line with that type of scum running the state.
East TN for the mountains and Coastal SC for the ocean. I can't tolerate the cold in utopias like Utah and Idaho or ND, SD. Virginia is lost due to Washington DC expanding (same problem as Oregon). NC is trying to go the way of Virginia but it's much slower.

You left off mosquitoes.

Neither of which are on OP’s list of criteria.

Ummmm...no where?
Maybe Tennessee but you do have to deal with some winter, or Arizona but you do have to deal with some "drought".

Just pointing out the potentially negative weather.

If you want the most bang for your bucks, Puerto Rico is where a lot of Americans are retiring. A good friend did a LOT of research & lifestyle & financials were at the top of his list. Puerto Rico was a slam dunk.

Based on that list, you are looking for areas from starting from north Alabama going north up to Nashville then east over to around Durham and then South to the Greenville area.
Somewhere in that zone might fit your desires.
Probably some areas of Texas and Arizona that would fit too.
