Did she believe that excuse?

She seemed to buy it. The dog was less convinced though. He waited a good 5 min after all the commotion died down before coming back in the room and then was very reluctant to get too close to me. He though dad had gone crazy.

I get the late for work and have a deadline that I'm not going to meet nightmare a fair amount. It replaced the college era late for class and didn't finish my paper or going to miss a test nightmare.

But actual terrifying nightmare? Maybe once a year when I drink NyQuil.

I have this re- occurring nightmare once a month of a class at LSU that where I realize I completely forgot about the class and suddenly remembered that I never went to that class until about 2/3 s of the semester is over.

Then during the dream I suddenly realize that I’ve already graduated.

Currently I now only sleep like 3 hours a night and I’m always tired. Phuck.

I still also have the “I’m never going to graduate from college” dream occasionally 30+ years after I did. That burned a mark somewhere deep in my brain.

I've had a couple of lucid apocalypse type ones. One in which we were getting nuked by the Russians and one in which aliens invaded and ate all of is i.e., War of the Worlds.

I have terrible dreams if I sleep on my stomach. I figured that out when I was a teenager, and have slept on my back or side since. When I have a fricked up dream now, I usually wake up having rolled over too far.

I'll have fricked up dreams and sometimes sleep paralysis if I sleep on my stomach. That's the worst feeling in the world. Happened to me about a week ago.

Aren't you supposed to call it a bad dream rather than a nightmare by the time you get to be 10?

I'm old and I get recurring nightmares; melatonin makes them worse. I can trace nightmares to trauma as a child, and stuff that happened, that wasn't pleasant, but not exactly trauma. For instance, I was about 8 and went with my dad and brother to a night game at LSU. We went to leave and we couldn't find our car, we wandered around for what felt like forever to a kid. Now I have nightmares about leaving a building and I can't find my car.

I wouldn't worry about it, I look at nightmares as "shite my old crazy brain does".

My recurring nightmare since childhood is being on a beach in the surf and feeling the water rush out, looking over my shoulder to see a tidal wave, trying to run but being pulled back and then getting buried under the sand as the wave crashes over me. Always wake up gasping. Happens about once a year.

Di... did you dream of Fred Kreuger?

No, but I watch enough horror movies that when I woke up I did wonder if it was some sort of demon sort of thing trying to get at me while sleeping.

Basically I was visiting my parents and out in the driveway. This lanky and extremely tall haggard dude loped up and starts trying to talk to me. Before I i knew it, him and his friends had surrounded me and then they tied me to him. And he tells me if I’m still nearby when he wakes up, he’s going to kill me.

So basically most of the dream is me trying to drag myself through my parents’ driveway screaming for help as he stirs near waking up.

I had a nightmare my wife was pregnant. She's almost 40 and I'm 46. I need to get clipped soon.

dreams tell you something but it's hard to know what. I usually have nightmares when my sleep quality is not very good for a few days due to stress. For instance if I wake up to piss at 4am but went to bed around 11, if I doze off wanting to wake up by 7 i might have a nightmare. Usually it's a real life situation I need to be aware of but I can't figure out what it is at the time.
