When you’re wife and kids are in the car with you & you need to fart…

Do you normally hold it in until you get to your destination and let it blast when you get out the car, or do you let it out in the car and wait for it to hit them?
I’m not married, but if I’m with my girlfriend or friends, I just let it out and wait for it to hit them. If I’m with people I don’t know too well, I’ll hold it

I was told by someone, somewhere, at sometime that it is not healthy to hold in gas.
