Amazing how 1 lane closure on the intracoastal across the river brings the interstate to a halt. Now a wreck on the bridge.

I don't ever want to be the guy constantly complaining about traffic. I feel like we have too many of that guy.

Damn baw. It is backed up from before the split, to the west side of the bridge. A lot of people aren't getting to where they are supposed to be in a timely fashion today.

Who would expect there to be heavy traffic at rush hour in a growing mid market city with crappy highway infrastructure?

This is the result of an infrastructure that is right at capacity. The smallest little mishap will set off the entire system. Such as a damn dump truck hitting a bridge and shutting down one lane.

I got on at Perkins by the overpass at 6:05 and I’m just now getting to the base of the bridge at 7:00. Usually takes me 7 minutes to get to the office.

Gonna need a new gas tax to get that new intercostal bridge. That thing doesn’t have much life left

The one perk of having to be at work for 5am, beat the traffic

now all of Baton Rouge commuters will get a taste of what westsiders deal with on a daily basis.. just wait until they start the bandaid repairs southbound too on top of this... going to be interesting.

I am tired of needing to pass a new tax every time we need to build something.

I've been saying this ever since they started northbound repairs. Hopefully this will show how bad that 415 extension is needed on the Westside.

The project is in the works. It just needs to get funded. The WBR President is working on getting the funds.

What’s another solution? We don’t have money.
