How many decades has it been since a new building went up in Baton Rouge? Pitiful downtown and city

Its a sign of economic development. Is not that difficult to understand why.

Resident poster 4LSU2 had a tower crane posted up downtown circa 2008ish

I pass no less than 10 tower cranes on my 10 mile commute every day in North Dallas. Got 2 towers and 3 crawlers on my project at the moment.

DFW > BR

Yeah, BR sucks, no doubt. OTOH you've got the river on the west, I10 on the east, LSU on the south, and plants on the north. Kind of limits the area for expansion

The last one that got close turned tail and was trying to get away from BR so fast, it hit the Sunshine Bridge

I didn't.....I left that shitty market in BR for a job here.

When I was young and stupid I left a traveling gig for a job in BR. Once I gained some wisdom I realized how shitty the job market is in BR. Now I reside in DFW.

.
How many cranes do you see along the river from BR to Nola? The investment in plants right now is in the billions. That means millions for the BR-Based contractor and professional service sectors from scaffolding to process controls and engineering consultants. The area is just fine. Shut up OP.
