That's what I believe. As a senator, his message was beginning to resonate with the rest of America during the Great Depression, a time when Americans were searching for answers. FDR was unable to help Americans dig themselves out. Long posed a threat to Roosevelt's presidency, whether directly or indirectly, and I believe FDR understood that.
Have you seen any evidence of this? FDR had the strongest incentive to kill Huey, but I just haven't found any research that would connect the dots.
It that time, so many people wanted Huey dead that it could have been anybody.
My uncle (LA political history buff) said Huey's wound wasn't fatal and the BR doctors didn't provide treatment to their best efforts. Huey had ticked off white collar Louisianians to the point that they let him bleed to death in the hospital.
T Harry Williams' book is a must read. Williams said that in the hours before Huey's assignation, Carol Weiss was calling hit patients rescheduling appointments for the next few days. You don't reschedule future appointments if you plan to be on the run. For that reason, I don't believe Dr. Weiss was the shooter.
Williams' book also says that after Huey's death, when the Earl Long regime was ruling LA, Walt Disney came to the state with big plans to build Disney World on the Northshore. In the meeting Earl's people purely focused on how many dollars they could soak out of Disney and into their pockets. Walt was so disgusted, that he abandoned his Louisiana plans and switched his location to Orlando.
What could have been. F Huey Long

I send my kids to a good Catholic school in Houston, probably one of the ones your considering. Many have a strong Louisiana contingency and we've been very happy thus far. Just remember to apply early, the application process is very competitive post-COVID.
For what its worth, several friends of mine went to top private schools in Houston and could to send their kids to any private school in town. But they choose to send their kids to our Catholic school because the families seem more normal.
Good luck

After seeing that setlist and listening today on archive, I feel robbed by the jazz fest show
My mind's still blown by Jazz Fest's Drums > Space. What a cool - and fitting - collaboration.
Just got back from Bar Harbor, Maine. Awesome trip highly recommend it. Spent a couple of days in Acadia national park which hosts bunch of outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, camping, stargazing, fishing, bike riding, etc.
Don't know how its going to be in August, but the temp ranged from 45-70 over the past few days.

Most non-tech corporate relocations pick DFW over Hou.
Simply because DFW has a slightly better climate and its central geography makes it easier to get to the rest of the country.

No, people would think you're gay.
Not getting built, because this could never be financed.
And if by chance a lender is dumb enough to do this, I'd like to buy a credit default swap on that loan.

So he mentioned the first weekend of jazz fest or jazz fest in general? Brother is deciding between the two weekends. Hoping schedule comes out soon because he’s pretty eager to book his ticket
The rumor is 10/9. Fits best within their schedule.
Another benefit, Jazzfest gave D&C their normal time allocation (2 sets with a break) when they were originally scheduled for 2020. Jazzfest typically only gives artist a single longer set (like 90 minutes).
I expect Jazzfest to be the full show with even some surprise guests like last time they played in NOLA.

Is this inside scoop news or assumption?
Its pretty much official. Oteil commented about jazzfest on his instagram.

Is Dead & Company Any Good Live?
Yes. Its not THE Grateful Dead and they do play at a slower pace. But they have their magical moments when they play up to expectations. For example:
Surgree
Truckin'
Shakedown Street
Todd probably has a great credit score.

Does mean mandating participation from BR's ethnic minority, caucasians?
