Someone gave me a gift certificate. I walked into lunch, took a look around and walked back out. Gave the gift card to my secretary. She pretended to be pleased, but I think she was faking it.

There used to be a location off Airline near Cortana in the late-80s/early 90s

In a moment of weakness we went 5here for lunch about 6 years ago by a Katy Mills mall. Saw a grown man biting snow crab claws to get the shell open. He had no idea what the crackers were for. That was my last trip there... ever.

Kudos to their marketing team. Their commercials make their food look delicious.

Don't know why I don't remember that one. I remember Bennigans right there.

I've always wondered how that Red Lobster in Metairie has stayed open so long. In South Louisiana with so many seafood choices.

October of last year, I was on a quick business trip. The biscuits are still good, the restaurant was mostly dead. Food was average at best.

I have a buddy from Indiana who loves the place though. I guess it reminds him of growing up with bland Midwest food. He freaked out when Long John Silvers opened on Williams in Kenner. I went with him because he would fricking shut up about it. I got some sort of fried fish and shrimp basket. After one bite, I was like "what the frick is this nasty shite." But he was in shitty yankee food heaven.

Living in south Louisiana and eating seafood at a chain restaurant is blasphemy. I can understand people in the midwest loving it.

I have some step family members who live in Kentucky. Rural Kentucky. When they come down it's a big deal for them to go to Chilis. Because the closest one to them is an over 1 hr drive so they go there for special times.. At the most once a year. So coming down here and being so close to Chilis is a big thing...

I haven't been to one since the early 90's at least.

Wife and I went by one here in Cola a couple years ago because we had a gift card. Took one look at the...umm...crowd standing outside and promptly nope'd the frick outta there.

I've been once, Winter of 2009. In Monroe at the Pecanland Mall. Work trip and the boss took us all there. Better than paying for my own supper. BARELY.

I used to go with co-workers for lunch to one that was close by. I would be embarrassed to take a date to one though.

The biscuits are better than the seafood.
