Somewhat the same situation. We ate at all of those along with the Piccadilly and diner type stuff. I remember her loving Sambos which was on lobdell and Florida.

Probably 1986 or so, when we were in Tennessee and some of our family members wanted to go eat 'seafood'. Probably could have saved some $$$ and just went to Captain D's. I remember the biscuits and the iced tea were good though. Never went to the one in Lafayette when it was here.

It is amazing how packed the ones at the beach stay. They are generally the highest volume store in the company. Same with Joes Crab Shack

I don't have an issue with RL's food. I just have an issue with their predominate clientele, at least around here.
