Just had one come by 10 minutes ago and try to sell me a digital alarm system. I was nice to the kid, but said no and that I was in the middle of eating dinner with my family.

I know these guys have to make a living and that 2 pm in the afternoon will yield no results. Coming by close to dark, though?

He was showing you that anyone can come at anytime and catch you slippin

It is a good idea to be strapped when a stranger shows up at the door unannounced.

my man! Last solicitor showed up at my house, I greeted at the door gun in hand. The look on his face when he saw the gun was priceless. He didn't stay long.

Someone said 9a-6p earlier. Check with your marshal's office. Ours limits hours to I think no later than 6p, and anyone knocking on doors has to have a permit or we can report them. Marshal here also offers no solicitation stickers. If it is visible in your window or door on the front of your home and they knock, they are in violation.

We don't really get a lot of that but I'd say after dark would be too late.

Our neighborhood gets them a lot. Cops told us to call them if the solicitors aren't wearing badges.

Had three come by my house yesterday. One was selling bibles, one magazines and the other feed me some bull shite story about Indiana University renigging on his basketball scholarship and he was looking for bus money to get back to Terre Haute. Drives me crazy

I may have given some money for originality and delivery.

This was after he told me two other bull shite stories. Guy was a wreck. Nervously sweating and wearing a dress shirt and pants that were about ten sizes too big. I kind of felt bad for him and probably would have given him some money if he had been honest to start. I asked him to be honest with me after the second story and he gave me the IU story.

Wow that's so impressive. You could have got a no solicitors sticker but instead you chose to be tough and really scare this guy. Huge round of applause lol
