Well I was at a hifi store back in the late 70s and my dad let me Fl drink beer. I was around 12.

Depends on how hot the kid is.

You did the right thing. Those people are trash. Probably divorced or soon to be

No problem if it is your own kid but I would never give alcohol to another person's underage child.

I’ll let my kids’ friends have a couple beers when they’re 16+ if I take their keys and I know their parents well or ask their parents.

When they are of legal age...not even with the parents consent do I think it's okay to give someone underage alcohol. If the parents want to give their kids alcohol thats one thing but not to someone elses kid.

We limit visiting 14 year olds to light beer only.

It is also very stupid. They could be brought up on charges and still can if someone comes forward with a complaint.

What if the half-drunk kid decides to leave with friends? Is the non-parent host going to physically restrain them? Huge can of worms.

If your kid is a boy his eyes were probably wide open realizing a bunch of chicks were about to be much friendlier than usual. Then dad pulled the plug.

We got one of those "million dollar rains" in the dead of summer when I was 16. I worked for my uncle on the family farm. We took off for the afternoon. He got a six pack and let me have two.
Told me to be sure not to let Mom know.

Not sure - growing up I lived on a parade route in NOLA - in HS my friends came over to watch parades and spent the night - around 16ish my parents let us drink, but their parents knew
One of my friends lived close to the parade route in Metairie and it was the same when we went over there

It was a tradition for son's high school's ( unofficial ) senior class to have a crawfish boil at a camp surrounded by numerous other camps around Lake DesAllemands. It had been going on for years & had gradually gotten out of hand, as kids from all over were showing up, walking from camp to camp. Drinking beer. A week before my son's class party, a dad asked an assistant D.A. what the liability was for us parents. He said that if any minor had a car accident leaving the party, each parent would be liable for any damages, and, no home owners' policy would cover any of those damages. We did not have a party.
