How about never? Never ever give alcohol to someone else's kid.

Louisiana law sets out that this will apply other than in the case of limited exceptions. These exceptions include the following:

Where the person is accompanied by a parent, guardian, or spouse that is over 21.

Where the person must handle alcohol as part of their job, such as in a restaurant.

Where the person consumes alcohol in a private residence.

Where the person consumes alcohol as part of a religious celebration

Where does it say, if the person is 18 in that?

My parents weren’t too bad about letting me drink beer.

I’ve never really craved alcohol.

My brother, OTOH was 20 years older than me and was a straight up alki.
Drank scotch daily and died from liver failure.
Probably not a good idea for me to drink anything like that.

I allowed my kids and their friends to drink at 18. That was also the legal drinking age at the time.

Probably worth quantifying the age here. We're all someone's kid and most of us here are of legal drinking age. And I'll be damned if I'm at an NYE party and no one offers me a drink because my 76 year old mother isn't there.

I dont know the answer exactly, depends on the kid probably. But we have a lady in our friend circle that provides it for her 16 yo and it seems really, really important to her that she offer it to others kids. I dont get the deal here.

Kids make some dumbass decisions at 14-16 years old, as Seniors they seem to mature a bit. I wouldnt let mine booze it up until they show some maturity in their decisions.

I will not be the cool parent that lets kids drink. Sorry.

Parents that seek the adoration of children are the problem.
