Same. I'm just extremely cautious and picky, for better or worse. Settling for the sake of having something is worse than nothing at all, IMO.
Agreed. However, if marriage (or a long-term monogamous relationship) is even somewhat important to you, I think it is reasonable to keep that in mind when you're single. Lord knows we all do some things of which we're not proud, and there are some flings that are worth it even without a shot at a future, but it doesn't take long to waste away a significant amount of time with women who were dead ends from the get go. The older I got, the harder it was for me to have any interest in a woman once I determined a long-term relationship was never going to happen.

i had that last year. drove my mom nuts b/c my mom liked her so much
from the outset i was like "this is never going to be serious" and my mom got real upset and thought i was being negative. and i had legitimate reasons why it was not ever going to get to that level

as this board knows, i spent a LOT of my life just searching for reciprocal care and compassion
when i kind of got out of that mindframe and really thought about me and my value...and then what actually lights my fire...i was like "frick"

I just need someone smart enough to out-bullshite me and get me to be as productive as I'm capable of being.

Women in society take every opportunity to criticize men. No man is ever good enough.
Why would any man willingly decide to have to:
1. Share half his earnings for life whether or not he stays married?
2. Be told he is a caveman because he enjoys the outdoors and or engines?
3. Be told he does not love his children because he won't miss a meeting for a million dollar account to watch a six year old sing a 45 second song in a school play.
4. Take on a second mother (his wife) and third mother (his mother in law) who thinks she knows more about what he needs to do than he does?
5. Be the source of constant disappointment to a wife who is never satisfied with his actions? (Example: If he works in the yard, he does not help in the kitchen. If he loves to cook, he is not a real man.etc)
Bottom line?
Men are just becoming smart enough to start deciding for themselves what makes them happy. We no longer care what you think.
If you don't like it, you can marry one of those hipsters who needs female approval on his outfit. Maybe the two of you can sync up your menstrual cycles.

This is what happens when you vilify men for being men. They decide to stop. Women like to think men need them a lot more than they actually do.

It's a 2 way street that started in the 80's and early 90's when we stopped treating teenagers like adults and little boys like little boys. The drinking age was raised to 21, age of consent raised to 18, political correctness took over colleges, student loan debt and the entry level jobs economy made it increadibly difficult for 20-somethings to get to a level of financial stability where they could support a wife and kids, zero tolerance policies on imagery, guns, and fighting traumatized a generation of boys to never fight back and take abuse, political correctness in femonism looked down on home-making or teaching basic skills to women like cooking, bookeeping, sewing, gardening, ect. Schools reduced teaching of Shop, ect.

My advice would be to cut your losses and move on when that happens. Don't waste anymore time than you need to once that is determined.

This post was likely written by a used up post wall slut who was hot in her early 20s and didn't commit to a long list of men who were pursuing her because she wanted to "find herself" and "enjoy her college/younger years by living it up to the fullest", which in real world terms means partying hard and drinking and having sex with every Brad Chad and Thad who gave her the tingles.
Now that she has hit the wall and is used up and no longer as hot as she was when she was younger she is mad that these Brad's Chad's and Thads who used to bang her are no longer interested and instead going for younger arse. Now that she no longer can secure sex from higher value alphas, she tries to lock one down with no success- alphas won't commit to her post wall used up arse. So she is left with two options- settle down with a lower value thirsty beta willing to commit that she repulses and is not attracted to, or try to shame higher value alpha men that she is actually attracted to by not being man enough to commit. Looks like she chose the latter.
What a damn hypocrite. I bet she rejected plenty of men in her younger 20s who wanted commitment. Now all of a sudden she is all about commitment. Hmmmm. I wonder why.

This reminds me of a scene in mad men featuring my boy Pete Campbell. He asked his (single) secretary what she was doing on a holiday weekend and she said she and other girls were renting a house or something. Another man was in the office (I think it was harry crane) and Pete talked about how silly it is that a single man is an object of pity when *she* is far more miserable.

Oh wait. That was written by a man? Jesus. Even worse. Doesn't get lower than a white knight. I bet this guy wonders why women are not attracted to him and why he never succeeds with women despite being a nice guy. It's because shite like this dries up women like the Sahara. Women may agree with the message, but they will never spread their legs for you if they hear you talk like that.

this is the biggest thing
i literally have broken this down for people before
there are only so many people on earth smart enough to engage my mind like that. half are male. about 10% of the females are gay, trans, or asexual. so like 10-15% of the population from the outset quickly becomes 6.5-7%. of the entire world
and then when you get into location, looks, emotional stability, etc it's just astronomical

Yeah, you've definitely got to find a new circle of women. There are women out there where none of your list applies.
