Back in my day, we had to look for them. In the weeds, in the bushes, under rocks....and they were real eggs, not plastic pretend eggs full of candy. You found them, gave them to mama and she made tuna salad. And you ate it, whether you liked it or not. Now they just throw plastic eggs down on the ground and the kids pick out the candy and throw the plastic back on the ground while mama posts on Instagram and daddy is teeing of on the 13th hole and getting into his second 12 pack of the morning. No wonder kids these days are so screwed up and lazy.

How old are you?

Candy eggs have been a thing for 50+ years.

My parents would hide them so well, we were still finding them in August.

There was a plastic one with candy. That was the special egg. You won if you got it.

I see no problem with this other than his drinking too much while playing golf.

He should be on his second Bloody Mary or screwdriver- at most- if it’s still morning.

At my kids school they get a 1 dozen egg carton and can only find 12 eggs. Every kid can only find 12 eggs. No hunt. No prizes. It would be terrible if one kid worked harder than the others and collected more eggs in his basket.

Never saw a candy egg. Before the egg hunt we dyed all the eggs with food coloring, vinegar and water.

If we got a candy egg it was in the basket with the chocolate bunny.

Subtle brag your family was rich and could afford tuna. My mom made egg salad or we just ate those things with salt.
