Philippines: Mt. Pinatubo was exploding, and along came Typhoon Yunya

Nearly 20 million tons of sulfur dioxide were injected into the stratosphere in Pinatubo's 1991 eruptions, and dispersal of this gas cloud around the world caused global temperatures to drop temporarily (1991 through 1993) by about 1°F (0.5°C),” the USGS explained.
The location of Pinatubo also played a role in the dip in global temperatures as it sits relatively close to the equator.
“Because of atmospheric circulation patterns, eruptions in the tropics can have an effect on the climate in both hemispheres while eruptions at mid or high latitudes only have impact the hemisphere they are within,” researchers at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, said.
Now, about that sandstorm coming this way from Africa

One volcanic eruption can mess with the climate that much huh?
Better get rid of your meat and get to eating bugs asap.
I also read about 5000 years ago the Sahara desert was a tropical jungle.

Hurricano...the sequel to Snarknado

That’s what kills me about the climate change people. We are one volcanic eruption away from a global cool down.

it's like Godzilla vs Kong the weather edition.

Better open the Morganza Spillway quickly. They always wait too late.

Environmentalist have been looking at the wrong things to target. They should be actively going after volcanos.

I hope they have artofficial aqueducts available.

That’s why I think trying to impact climate by human action is stupid and worthless.
Between the shite Mother Nature does and the sun we are a speck on the impact. Instead let’s all not pollute and take care of nature as we are commanded by the good book.

You mean the earth has more effect on climate than humans? Don't tell me the Sun also effects climate more than humans!!!!

What gets me about the global warming people, didn't we do a good job? 51 things we could do to make a difference, it hasn't even been 50 years and we averted an ice age.

Article making false claims about volcanos and hurricanes changing the climate when we all know only man causes climate change.
Posted on 6/17/21 at 9:52 am to real turf fan
The article failed to mention that the typhoon actually extinguished the volcano.

The Sahara is growing. Parts of the southern periphery were jungle at one time. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking about.
