Most of my t-shirts and polos are dri-fit. Whole lot more comfortable when its hot and humid outside, plus it doesn't get wrinkled up easily like cotton.

They also last longer. I hated how my cotton polos started looking after a few washes.

I have 8-10 year old dri-fit shirts that have not faded or shrunk at all

My favorite part about them

Dri- fit shirts stink so damn bad after wearing them. You can wash it, and the minute you put it on it starts to stink again.

Dry-fit shirts are always shinny. Why do I have to reflect the sun?

Unless you're just using old or really cheap synthetics this isn't really the case anymore.

Used to be true, though.

I hate when I grab a shirt that I think is Dri-Fit and it turns out to be some polyester bullshite that is less breathable then cotton.

If you didn't, you'd be invisible and would likely be accidentally crushed in a parking lot within a day.

Not if you just have the one.

Isn't dri-fit typically 100% polyester?

. Because no one likes those thick. scratchy, heavy, uncomfortable shirts. I never did and was thrilled that reasonable alternatives have arrived.

Why would you want to go back to the caveman days?

Exactly. Cotton shrinks, you have to iron, it's hot. Not going back.

I have worked outside my entire life, and still work in a shop with no AC. Only one person out of the 50-60 full-time people in my shop wears the dry fit shirts. Cotton has always been the preferred material for shirts

Dry fit shirts:

Constantly get caught on my fingers and hands
Make me sweat more
Chafe
Are too tight
Don't hold moisture/keep you cool like cotton

Give me a 100% cotton Hanes Beefy T. I'm a grown arse man.

Cheapesttees.com

Hanes Beefy Ts are about $5 each on that site. Buy a dozen or so every summer. Wear them all summer for working outside.
