Dri-fit is the best marketing ploy ever. Rename polyester "dri-fit", make millions.

What exactly about this do you find ridiculous ?

Surely you are aware that clothing styles and materials evolve just like many other things. Go look at some photographs of how men were dressed up in suits and bowler hats at baseball games back in the 50s, then came bellbottoms for the hippies, parachute pants in the 80s, so on and so forth....

Beefy Tees are thicker than the 5 pack you reference. Those are more like undershirts. The ones I'm talking about are, well, beefier. Like the name suggests. The undershirts wouldn't last more than a day in the field.
