What's this new scam?

I was walking out of a gas station this afternoon (trashy, I know) and this younger lady is parked next to me. As I'm getting into my car she rolls down her window and starts with the spiel..
She's in some kind of service industry clothes in a shitty car, nobody else in the car, says she just moved here and doesn't have her phone and is just trying to find her way to her new job "at the country club" and is lost, wants to use my phone to pull up GPS to help her.
Obviously I told her to frick off, she had a local tag with a Kansas sticker on the bumper, but getting a local tag means she ain't that new to town.
Also, there's no "country club" anywhere around the area. If she was telling the truth, she was way off the reservation.
Thirdly, why not go inside and ask the clerks for help?
I haven't seen this scam before and am wondering what the end game was. It wouldn't be to steal my phone because it was a high traffic congested intersection where a quick getaway would not have been possible.

You sure it wasn’t Mingo in drag trying to scam you?

Wants to "use your phone to look at the map" and instead venmo herself a K from your account.

Maybe she just wanted to get to work, jerk.

You walked away from a free blow job my dude.

Your first mistake was listening. Just ignore them and keep walking. It’s easy.

I am sure asking her the address or the name of the country club was too much of an inconvenience to type it in for her if you didn't trust her with your phone.

If she had said "Hi, I'm lost and looking for the UnclefrickChuck Country Club?" would have been a better entrance than the spiel she gave me, prior to asking for me to open my gps on my phone.
Instincts and red flags and whatnot. Anything that starts with a spiel is a spiel.

My favorite is when they walk up to you with their driver’s license out. Like ok homey, if LA let’s you drive you must be trustworthy.

If she had said "Hi sorry to bother, my phone is dead and I'm lost, and new to the area, can you give me directions to 123 Whatever Street" then I would have obliged. But by the time she was done with her spiel, I though she was going to hit me up for $5 for gas so she could get to work at her new job. But instead the punchline was for me to unlock my phone and open my gps. Too much build-up for what would have been a simple request if legit.

Early 20's medium toned Hispanic but with no accent, long curly black hair, mole on her cheek, thicc. Driving something you'd expect Jimmy McGill to be driving during correspondence school at UAS. I didn't catch the model. It was a real piece of shite, wondering how it made it through Obama's Cash for Clunkers program without being scrapped for $8k.
