My mom said I never really slept with them other than an occasional bad dream where I would wake up from my own bed and go climb into bed with them. That shite stopped at about 5 or 6 though and maybe happened a few times a year.

If I wanted to sleep in my parents room because of a bad dream or storm it was next to their bed on a blanket or sleeping bag on the hardwood floor.

So that never lasted

It would be quite old-fashioned to share a bedroom with the whole fam, but this co-sleeping beyond infant stage seems detrimental to everyone involved.

No one should be co-sleeping with an infant anyway. That's how babies accidentally get smothered to death: when the parent rolls over on top of the baby. Much more common than some realize.

A lot of people allow this these days for some reason. It damn sure does not fly in my house. My 32 # miniature dachshund takes up too much room for either of the kids.

My mini doxie is a co sleeper

saw this decal while driving around the other day. Co-sleeping is one fricked up thing, but why the hell would you want to advertise it to the world like this? I feel bad for this woman's child.

I never heard of co-sleeping...

I don't ever remember a time when I slept with my parents. Kids must not pick on other kids for the same reasons they use to. If someone found out another kid still slept in his parents bed, that kid would have gotten teased pretty hard.

"ohhh! you still sleep with yo momma and daddy? Do you still suck yo momma's titty for milk?"

my apartment complex only has gravel parking lots, so no matter how much I wash it, it's dirty a few days later.

My 75 lb golden doodle sleeps in our bed.

He's the man. Cali king size bed so its really not a big deal. I love it.

My kids will not do that though

yes, it is a big deal.

as in 'how the frick do you find bedding that fits or god forbid you need a new headboard with that oddball king?'

i ended up getting rid of ours and getting a standard king

I remember being tiny, like 5 years old and younger, and climbing into my parents' bed when I had a nightmare.

My dad would go sleep on the couch

I can't believe its a thing to allow older kids to do this every night. That is weird as frick. Do they titty feed until they're teenagers too?

I've heard about people calling it co-sleeping, but never heard it mentioned in a good way. Just people saying not to do it and it's a good way to end a marriage.
