Whether it be the landscape, crappy infrastructure, or just the trash/litter. Of the ones I’ve traveled through, probably Oklahoma has the worst mixture of all 3. Although Louisiana is probably in the top 5. I’ve always heard Iowa is clean but unbelievably boring looking.

Conversely; what’s the most scenic state you’ve ever been to?

Maine or Washington State for me.

Ohio for most boring. Alaska is probably the most scenic. Or Hawaii.

Florida. when you think about it, the only things pretty is probably technically not a part of the state.

Oklahoma is a good choice.

California is the most beautiful state imo. Mountains, beaches, weather, redwoods etc

New Jersey is easily the least scenic for me. Closely followed by Indiana.

Strongly disagree! La's wetlands are beautiful, IMO.

Everytime I travel out of Louisiana I’m amazed at how clean and nicely landscaped everything is.

A friend from Colorado couldn't get over the fact that *every* utility pole in this state is crooked

Ohio for most boring.
I used to think this since I grew up in the counter surrounded by flat farms, but after moving away I realized that it’s nice to have a lake and Southeast Ohio has some great scenery as it’s essentially Appalachia. Now a place like Iowa seems like it would be the most boring since the most boring part of Ohio is essentially the entire state of Iowa.

OK, KS, NE or all the worst. They are in a race for the most boring. But KS is the most boring/ugly state there is.

LA is up there too especially because of the trash.

Hell, it’s really noticeable just traveling from Texas to Louisiana. A friend of mine who lives in Texas always tells me that when he’s traveling here to visit, he doesn’t even need to see the state sign. He knows he’s crossed into Louisiana just by the litter

Arkansas is pretty in the areas that don’t have Arkansas people living there.

Texas basically sucks for 978 continuous miles of I-10.

Nebraska or Kansas. Oklahoma has some pretty nice hills and mountain areas.

Iowa was pretty bland driving through south to north and back. Saw a ton of the eastern side of the state and it was mostly nothing.

There's a 20 mile stretch just outside of San Antonio that is absolutely breathtaking, but the rest is ugly as sin.

And the road quality just went down.
