South central Louisiana blows arse.
The Atchafalaya Basin and a newly forming delta. You won’t find much like it anywhere else in the US. It may seem boring to us but folks who come here are astounded by these places.

NW Louisiana is the best part of the state.

Should be part of Tx. That drags the rest of the state down.

LA and TX are pretty ugly scenery wise. Utah is the prettiest I've been to, beating out CA, Wa, Co, ID, AZ, NC and TN amongst others I've been to.

Oklahoma has some really great areas. I haven’t spent significant time in every state but I’d imagine there has to be worse than that

Half of jersey is spectacular.

Northeast jersey is urban blight plus the refineries.

I’m not from North Dakota but have been here the last year for work and it’s far from the ugliest state. There are lots of open plains but the areas on the Missouri river and lakes are all scenic. And like others have mentioned the badlands are also unique and scenic.
Pics taken with my iPhone so not the best quality.

Oklahoma has 3 mountain ranges, incredible mesas and some stunning rivers. It also has one of the most diverse Landscapes from border to border.

North Dakota has the badlands. And enough of a massive expanse to Encompass a ton of variety.

Nebraska even has the Sandhills which are pretty neat.

Kansas has nothing. The answer is Kansas in the landslide. If you aren't a fan of wheat fields and windmills, there's nothing to look at.

I drove across Kansas once with my Mom. She talked about how boring it was right up until she died.

Hills rivers and trees is a lot better than flat, flooded and traffic ridden IMO. NWLA is easily the nicest looking part of the state for topography.

Every state probably has a few areas they can point to as scenic but of the states I've visited (all of them but Alaska, South Dakota, and the New England states), Indiana and Oklahoma were the least remarkable to me. Not to say they're ugly, I just find them lest scenic than the others.

Best for me in no order: Hawaii, California, Washington, and Utah.

Those two are 2 of the prettiest states along with Oregon and parts of Arizona.

Maine or Washington State for me.

A friend of mine who lives in Texas always tells me that when he’s traveling here to visit, he doesn’t even need to see the state sign. He knows he’s crossed into Louisiana just by the litter

That's a bit of a stretch. I travel from Houston to Baton Rouge a LOT for work and beaumont/orange area looks like the underside of a tigerland toilet seat. At least when you cross the Sabine it's just tree's and grass for a while.

Yeah anyone that tells you there’s a difference between southeast Texas and southwest la is just looking for attention. Hell, most of i10 is new on that side of la so roads get better when you cross
