18% off about this time last year.

Bought the wife a 2025 Pilot Trailsport the day after Thanksgiving. MSRP was $50350. Paid $47000 plus TTL.

Best deals off MSRP were on an Oldsmobile, Pontiac and a Saturn. Hope this helps.

Best deal i ever got was way back in 1998. I got a Oldsmobile Intrige that was used to drive Sugar Bowl vips around. It had 120 miles and was 7500 off msrp.
So i think it was $16500 and it had every option and the bulletproof 3800 engine.
Sadly i was involved in a hit and run and slammed into a barrier at the i10/12 split in BR when the construction was going on.
With the insurance money I bought a big Montero.

Is it a popular model? How many last year models do they have? What are like new used selling for? You won’t negotiate below what like new used are selling for. It’s not uncommon for a dealership to “buy” them and flip them to used.
I haven't narrowed down a certain model. I'm not very picky but I want to be happy driving it. Which means it needs to have a little bit of a driver's car DNA in it.
I know sometimes they can pull them off floor plan like you said. But I found a small 25 year Lincoln SUV (nautilus I think it was) on cargurus and it was listed at 25 percent off on there. That is by far the best deal I saw and was astonished it was advertised that far off.

I’d buy that if I were in that market.

Ford Explorer ST.
The ST isn't an SUV, it's a sports car with a trunk. It's buttery smooth at over 110mph. The stock tires (Pirelli, I think) don't last more than about 30k if you drive it like you should, though.
I don't understand why the entire OT does shite like email "local dealers." Just go on the manufacturer website, and you can see details on every car within 500 miles that can be exchanged between dealers (it takes about a day.)

I got 17% off a 25 RAM last Monday. I almost always buy previous year models and shoot for 20% off sticker.

True Cars
Yep. I’ve used it. One time the ‘true car’ dealership in OKC called me while I was sitting in a different sales office in Tulsa. I quickly took the call. Came back around the corner and said, “Well, you’ll never guess who that was.”

Paid $300 over dealer responsible price.

Does not compute for me. I’ll never buy a new car again. Classic cars from here on out.

My story is June/July 2017. Bought a ‘16 F150 XLT crew cab FX4 with a 3.5 EB. Sticker was ~$50k with options and freight etc.
Paid $35,500 plus tax and fees. Five Star Ford in N Richland Hills TX a suburb of Dallas. Flew from Gulfport to DFW and got an Uber to dealership. Drove truck home. Good experience.
Neat PS. Uber driver was from the island of Madagascar. Indian (motel, gas station) looks and accent. Nice guy who had several hustles. Main one was buying used cars to ship over there for his family/partners to sell. What are the odds of meeting someone from there for the average person? Slim I’d think.

I just bought a diesel 2500 truck. I jerked the salesman off and gave him an Omaha steak gift card for $250 off sticker.

Not real sure how he feels about the other part of your deal “sweetener”.
