There is a current contest on some Instagram account that has 5 Gambino King Cakes as the prize. Let me see if I can find it

Too many people making king cakes these days. In Ruston there are two local places who make them along with a few local ladies making as well. On top of this, gambinos and caludas are sold in different places here. We aren’t even Catholic.

King Cake prices are out of control!

Yes they are, and have been for a while if you ask me. Wife got a plain Randazzo's King Cake last Saturday from the store in Chalmette and paid $25 for their medium king cake.

WWLTV did a story this week on the Cajun Pecan House King Cakes.

I didn’t know WWLTV followed this board with my recommendation.

I know one poster posted in this thread that they ship some of the tins to clients.

This maybe a seasonal item that they may do during the holidays. But you can call and find out.

It ain’t a King Cake unless it is from the Cajun Pecan House in Cut Off.

Who in the frick wants to go all the way to cut off for a king cake of all things? Seafood? Maybe. Fishing? Sure. King Cake? Uh no thanks.

Sure they ship but that ain’t the same.

$40 for a King Cake? They can kiss my arse.

5 years ago, your typical medium king cake was $15-$17.
